WCCHR June Pods

June 5, 2025 - 6:00pm

Join us for our final Pods session of the spring on June 5th from 6-7 PM in LC207/208!

This student-led session will focus on gathering your feedback to help shape future Pods sessions into even more impactful, engaging spaces for our WCCHR community. We’ll also open the floor for discussion around our experiences with subjective evaluations, and how we—as students--can feel more comfortable and empowered as patient advocates during these encounters.

Snacks will be provided, and your insights will be incredibly valuable in guiding the continued growth of Pods. Please RSVP here if you plan to attend.

WCCHR Movie Night

June 2, 2025 - 6:00pm

Join WCCHR and the South Asian Medical Student Association (SAMSA) for a movie night in the Student Hearth! We will be watching "Dunki" - a 2023 Bollywood movie that follows the journey of a group of friends who attempt to immigrate from Punjab to the UK via “donkey flight.”

WCCHR Pods

WCCHR Pods is a monthly discussion group discussing cases. WCCHR Pods session has ~5 clinician evaluators with ~10-15 students to learn about human rights advocacy, build skills for conducting forensic medical evaluations, and foster mentorship and community. We meet on the first Thursday of the month from 6-7 pm throughout the year. Please email wcchr@med.cornell.edu if you would like to be added to the listserv.

WCCHR Speaker Series

WCCHR Speaker Series are our monthly speaker events. In the past, we have invited speakers to discuss ethics in human rights and reproductive justice.

We hold Spring and Fall training sessions, once a semester, to train new evaluators and student volunteers.
